Starting and Running a Successful Window Cleaning Business

As a Squeegee Squad franchise owner, you will have the freedom to decide how you will grow your company. It’s up to you to decide how to spend your time during the day and what activities you will focus on. Although your corporate support advisors will help you every step of the way, ultimately, this is your business to operate. As an entrepreneur and business owner, the buck stops with you.

On a typical day, you may choose to spend your time doing many of the following activities:

  • Conduct a morning meeting with all of your window cleaning technicians and managers to go over the daily schedule, give praise & corrections, perform safety meetings, and encourage your crew.
  • Plan out new marketing campaigns for mailings, canvassing, and internet placements. Spend time driving around your territory to give window cleaning quotes and meet new clients.
  • Meet with building managers and homeowners to present quotes and find new clients.
  • Perform the occasional customer service call when a customer calls to tell you that the crew forgot to reinstall a couple screens in the laundry room.
  • Spot checks on job-sites to make sure the crews are off to a good start.
  • Interview and hire and train new technicians as needed.
  • Perform thank you calls to recently served happy customers.
  • Clean some windows at a jobsite (in the early stages of your business).
  • Look over weekly financials and assess infrastructure needs as you grow to meet your yearly goals.
